Dark Sky, one of my favorite weather nerd apps, has sold to Apple today. Guess I’ll be using  Weather next year.

It will both amaze and humble you for several minutes at least while you’re waiting on your third bowl of ramen to cook. It will not, unfortunately, check toilet paper inventory.

Educational Resources for Ministry

Cold Harbor Road Curriculum

This curriculum is 5 years of Old & New Testament adaptable to almost any grade in Pre-K and Elementary. They feature tie-ins and outlines for every book of the Bible. It’s over 1,000 pages of great places to start if you’re trying to build a curriculum.

Adult Bible Class Studies

This is a collection of books and Bible lessons that you can use and adapt to all sorts of different class formats for both high school and adults. This download has over 100 full resources from Brian Dowler, Doug Hamilton, and Paul Cantrell.

Bible Study Guide

This curriculum is a low-barrier and accessible paid curriculum from BibleStudyGuide.com. They offer in-depth, non-slanted Bible lessons from kids 2 years old all the way through 6th grade. We have been using this curriculum in our Elementary classes for two years and are very pleased. We have about 60 students 1st-6th grade and the curriculum costs about $400.

Digital Parenting Workshop

This is a personal resource of mine of a workshop that I’ve been doing for 5 years at over 50 organizations and churches. Adventures in Ministry and The AIM Series

Adventures in Ministry is a small resource website for all things youth ministry. We have a backlog of resources such as games, devos, camps and retreats almost 12 years in the making. AIM also offers the AIM Series every year, an 8-week video series that’s been going on for five years. The new series launches May 15.

Ministry Bits Podcast

This is also a personal plug of mine, but I think a great resource. Ministry Bits explores the intersection of ministry and technology. We talk about lots of tools, resources, and issues dealing with technology and ministry in this digital age. There’s 60+ episodes through the last six years which is a great backlog of listening.
